Katelyn and Tyler had one of the most whimsical sessions this past weekend! They chose Rosedown Plantation in St. Francisville to take engagement pictures, and I could not have been more excited to shoot at this beautiful location once again. I guess it is the southern girl in me, but plantations just make me happy. I seriously could take a whole weekend to visit different plantations and photograph them. Not to mention I got to go HOME and see my family for the weekend too.
We started off our session in front of the Rosedown Plantation house that was built in the 1830's, and continued the couple's session to the greenhouse, garden, driveways, and barn on the 374 acre property! It was the hottest day, with the temperature in the high nineties and the heat index well into triple digits! This rockstar couple still rocked the session through the heat and sweat.
This blog post is going to be lengthy, because I couldn't choose just a few to share today. I promise this was excluding so many other good ones, but the choices were getting harder and harder to make. The session was truly so dreamy, and so was the cute couple. Katelyn and Tyler had so much chemistry between the two of them and I can't wait to photograph their barn wedding in May of 2019.
Sessions like this one remind me that engagement sessions are more about the adventure and experience than about the images. I mean, the images are GREAT too, but the quality time that I get to spend getting to know the couple is the best. We had so much fun dancing in the driveway, climbing into wagons, and so much more.
Katelyn and Tyler thank you for trusting me to capture this important season in your lives. Enjoy your sneak peek!
XOXO,
Brittany
