Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs tied the knot on December 8, 2018 at Oak Lodge at Bricksome in Baton Rouge, LA. They had a beautiful indoor wedding where they promised their love for one another forever and always before all of their closest friends and family. The night was full of fun, and so much joy!
I don't know if I am allowed to have favorites, but Patsy and Jared are definitely one of the best couples I have met so far. I love them so much, mostly because Pasty and I have spent practically the whole year together photographing all of these life accomplishments of hers that 2018 brought. This wedding was just the latest, and I am so thankful for this couples trust in me to capture one of the most important days of their lives.
The day started off at two Baton Rouge hotels where all of the bridesmaids, and groomsmen got ready and spent the day together before the two love birds made it official. There, Patsy actually had a gift waiting for me ON HER WEDDING DAY! It was the cutest camera necklace, and I am so thankful for this job that introduces me to people like Patsy.
The limo picked everyone up and arrived at the most romantic venue, Oak Lodge, and was decorated with Christmas lights, trees, and the ambiance was just amazing. Patsy chose to have a first touch with Jared instead of seeing him, which was the cutest. I was more excited that she wanted to do her first look with her dad! You can tell Patsy and her dad just have this best friend, unbreakable bond thing going on, and well They are the BEST,
The ceremony was so sweet and perfect! I especially loved the way the couple just stared into each others eyes like no one else was watching. After the ceremony the dancing began and it was just so much fun to be around Jared and Patsy's friends and family. My favorite dance was the family tradition dance that Patsy's family did. The couple was in the center of a circle as they danced and just celebrated the joining of the two families. It was truly incredible and exciting all at the same time!
I also thought the newly weds had a unique Cake pull! I have never heard of this until this weekend, but apparently single ladies all pull a ribbon out from under the cake and if they pull a charm out it means good luck! I thought this was so cool and unique. It may be a "thing" but I had never heard of it.
After a night full of love, marriage, and fun, the couple exited to their limo with their family and friends waiving goodbye with glow sticks! You can see The newly Mr. and Mrs. Dobbs wedding day highlights here. I hope you enjoy. Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite picture of the night was !
Thank you Jared and Patsy for trusting me to walk this journey with you both. I wish you many years of happiness together.
XOXO,
Brittany
